Nail Polish Summer Summer Summertime Ooooo Summertime, Seriously it's my favorite season of the year and not only because I'm a summer baby, but I love the beach and all things bright and bold. When I think of summer I think of boardwalks, beaches, ice cream, women in ill-fitting bathing suits, and neon nail polish. When coming up with this post I wanted to show something that would be outside of the box for me. In my case that's pink nail polish. There are few and far between that I like and least of all bright pink, but what the hell it's summer right?

So here is GAP's Royal Azalea (which incidentally is a dumb name for this color if you ask me) in all her brightness.

She has a slight hot pink shimmer in addition to her creaminess (is that even a word?) as if she's not bright enough, but overall I was surprised at how much I enjoyed her. For all of 3 days (that's a long time for me).

GAP Gold Rush

I feel like I'm all over the place with my blog so please bear with me. I have been meaning to finish swatching the Cult Nails Fairytale line which will premiere on June 15th but I keep getting distracted with other new polishes I haven't tried. One thing about me is that I WEAR my polish, I don't have the luxury to swatch polish daily or change my polish as frequently as some of my fellow blogger sisters. Anywho! Today's post is about GAP Gold Rush which is a dupe of Chanel's (ever popular) Peridot. I fell in love with the Chanel version a long time ago and vowed that I wouldn't buy any of their polishes because I just think it's ridiculous to pay more than $10 a bottle for polish. That's my limit. Sephora has a version of this color as well but I don't like it as much as the version I found at the GAP thanks to Niftyba! GAP Gold Rush is a beautiful green duochrome metallic with hues of gold, blue, green and very small bits of silver glitter. So fine you can barely see it. Here she is:

They have some other great colors at the GAP right now all for $6. The bottle is cool but the square top is a little difficult to maneuver. Thoughts? Feelings? Concerns?
