OPI Mod About You and Pure Ice Outrageous

I need to step up my stamping skills. I have some Bundle Monster plates that I purchased on Amazon but I'm not too thrilled with them... Well I shouldn't say that. I just don't think they have too many patterns that are so exciting. So i did this manicure and added subtle glitter dots which barely showed up. Over all I'm not too thrilled with how it turned out. Next time I'll pick a different design. Thoughts? Feelings? Concerns?

OPI Mod About You (base color) was very chalky although I love this shade of pink, it was not easy to apply and Pure Ice: Outrageous is a great stamping color with a foil/frosty look. I like the colors together, but I don't like how the overall design came out. Suggestions for improvements are welcome.

Ruth's Nails - Guest Appearance

My coworker Ruth bites her nails, and her skin, and anything else that sticks out to annoy her on her hands. She has worn artificial nails in the past but ultimately for the past few years just neglected her nails. She was inspired by Nail Polish Therapy to begin taking care of her nails, so I gave her a mani to give her a kick start. We then went shopping for some polishes and essential nail care items. Now Ruth is addicted to nail polish blogs and anxious to start practicing her skills on her mom and looking forward to doing her own nails as soon as this mani wears off. Therapy worked!

For this look on the base I used OPI-Teal the Cows Come Home, then for the design I used BM plate 224 with Milani-White on the Spot, dots were Milani-Yellow Whiz and Fast Fushia. Thoughts? Feelings? Concerns?

Purple Reign

If you have seen my "Would Like to Have" list you can see there are ALOT of Zoya colors I am aspiring for. I was fortunate enough to get 3 at Ulta while they were having their huge polish sale over the holidays. One is appropriately named Marley, which was the name of my beloved dog who died suddenly last year. This mani I call Purple Reign as a play on the Prince song, but also because I used 2 purples and the design I stamped reminded me of a crown. I used Zoya Dannii for the designs and BM plate #217. I loved the color Dannii so much with Marley, but I think a color with a thicker formula would have been better for this intricate design. I'm still happy with the results. Thoughts? Feelings? Concerns?

A little too much oil on my cuticles, but at least they aren't dry :). The base is the Zoya Marley and you can see it's a lovely lilac.

Zoya Dannii is a real gem. I love it!

You have my heart.

After pouring over tons of posts on Valentines Day manis I knew I had to do one of my own. I wanted something simple, cute and extremely girly. I can't remember the last time I wore bubble gum pink polish, but this one was perfect. Walgreens had a sale on Wet n Wild polishes so one of the ones I got was Candy-licious. The formula was surprisingly good and the brush was just like the SH Insta-Dry designed for perfect curve application. For the accent nails I used Sinful Colors Snow Me White. For the hearts I used Eva #192 and BM plate 202. As an extra touch I added a little glitter to the hearts, because I figured you needed glitter with such a girly mani. I'm pretty happy with the results, it was just what I was going for. Thoughts? Feelings? Concerns?

The Gilded Age

I was waiting to get my Bundle Monster plates for what seemed like weeks! I had a failed attempt at stamping when I bought the MASH plates and was about to give up on stamping all together when I got the Bundle Monster plates. These plates are much better and they also work with most all nail polishes. For the nails I used OPI Don't You Just Love OPI and on my toes I used Revlon's Fashionista. I wasn't too happy with the way the stamping came out on my nails so I added Essie's As Gold as it Gets over the stamping to give it a gilded look, hence the naming of this post. Thoughts? Feelings? Concerns?

My camera doesn't do this color justice and it barely captures the gold hue of the color. I like the combination that OPI selected with this color. It's just the right amount of gold to add an accent but not overshadow the purple. Please excuse the cuticles.

Here is the BM plate 214 with the Essie As Gold as it Gets. I still have to get used to aligning the design properly on the nail from the stamp. The addition of the Essie color helped camouflage that. (natural light)

On my toes I did Revlon Fashionista, and I H&M Gold Treasures for the stamping color. I used the same plate BM214 but I used it in random directions. I like how it turned out. (natural light above artificial light below)
